Using Components

A component is part of a resource type that can be used to further describe a set of properties. Step 1 of the public process "Riffyn: Fermentation" has 4 Resource Types as inputs. One of these Resource Types is "Media" which has 2 components:

These 2 components allow "Media" to have nested sections to hold 2 Properties having the same name: "Concentration". Instead of creating 2 Properties of "Media" called "Nitrogen Source Concentration" and "Carbon Source Concentration", 2 components are created ("Nitrogen Source", "Carbon Source") and a "Concentration" property is added to each. The use of components allow the "Concentration" property to be used across multiple resources.
