Design is where you define the structure of your process and experimental design. A process consists of a series of steps (or groups of steps), with each step having inputs and outputs . The outputs of one step can linked to the input of an succeeding step, thereby creating a structured flow of material between steps.
Each step in a process represents a transformation/movement/use of materials and/or equipment.
Designs are made in Design Mode by:
- Creating steps
- Adding resource types to steps
- Adding components to steps
- Adding properties to resources
- Connecting steps
Which leads to a design representing a whole process:
Design Mode is also a place to track other information such as:
